Micro-needling, though decades old, strikes many visitors to our spa as a breakthrough new weapon in addressing skin problems. Performed with either a dermal pen or a derma-roller, the treatment involves creating tiny punctures in the surface of the skin in such a manner that collagen and elastin production is stimulated (the body recognizes the mini injuries, and rapidly puts skin into a healing mode). A choice of several serums is then applied according to the specific needs of the client (they can vary with each visit). The result is plumper firmer skin that is smoother and more evenly toned. This procedure can treat the aforementioned concerns, as well as scars, stretch marks, and thinning skin, and can offer radical results.

But is it painful? In fact, micron-eedling is virtually painless and takes only 30 minutes. Skin may appear pinkish (as if it had been in the sun a short while) after the treatment, but that effect subsides in a few days. Initial benefits are typically obvious, with skin appearing more voluminous, firmer, and with a healthier glow. To maintain those results, we recommend continuing with micro-needling as a regular choice during your facial.
